Cricket is public. Your personal details aren't. This policy covers the SWING apps (Player, Biz, Coach and Live) and this website: what we collect, why, and the choices you have.
1. What we collect
- Account details: your mobile number (used to sign in with a one-time code), name, and anything you add to your profile such as a photo, playing role and city.
- Cricket records: the matches, teams and tournaments you create or play in, and the ball-by-ball scoring of those matches.
- Academy and ground records: if you run or join an academy or ground on SWING Biz, the batches, attendance, fees, bookings, staff and payment records that the business keeps in the app.
- Payments: when you pay in an app, the payment is processed by our payment gateway. We receive the payment status and reference, not your full card or bank details.
- Streams: SWING Live broadcasts go to the organiser's YouTube channel. We store the video link and the timings of match moments, not the video itself.
- Device and diagnostics: app version, device type and the information needed to send notifications and fix crashes.
- Messages to us: if you use the form on this website, your name, email, topic and message, plus a one-way hash of your IP address used only to stop spam.
2. How we use it
- To sign you in, run your account and provide the features you use.
- To score matches and build scorecards, commentary and player statistics.
- To let academies and grounds run their business: attendance, fees, bookings, salaries and reports.
- To send service messages such as sign-in codes, fee reminders and match updates, by SMS, WhatsApp or push notification.
- To keep SWING secure and prevent abuse.
- To answer you when you contact us.
3. What is public
Matches in public tournaments are shown on this website and in the apps: team names, player names as entered by the scorer, the scorecard, ball-by-ball commentary and, if the match was streamed, the YouTube video.
Academies, coaches and grounds appear in the public directory only when they choose to publish a profile. Phone numbers and email addresses of players are never shown publicly.
5. This website
This website doesn't use advertising or analytics cookies. Videos are embedded using YouTube's privacy-enhanced mode and only load after you press play. Loading a video shares your visit with YouTube under Google's privacy policy.
6. Young cricketers
Many SWING players are juniors at academies. Where a player is under 18, their account and academy records should be managed with the involvement of a parent or guardian. A parent or guardian can contact us about a junior's data at any time.
7. How long we keep it
We keep account data while your account is active. Scorecards are part of a match record shared with other players, so when an account is deleted we remove the personal details and may keep the anonymised scoring. Payment records are kept as long as the law requires. Messages sent through this website are kept only as long as needed to handle them.
8. Your choices and rights
You can ask to see, correct or delete your personal data, or withdraw consent you have given. See how to delete your account, or write to privacy@swingcricketapp.com. We'll confirm it's you before acting on a request.
9. Security
Data is encrypted in transit and access is limited to the people who need it. No system is perfectly secure. If you find a vulnerability, please report it to security@swingcricketapp.com.
10. Changes and contact
If we change this policy we'll update the date above, and tell you in the apps if the change is significant. Questions: privacy@swingcricketapp.com.
